The Modern Deucalion (A sequel to Frankenstein)
Post Body

Yeah this is a LONG rambling of what i have planned for a dumb sequel to Frankenstein. If you read it all, it's clearly not complete but im talking as much real historical events as i can in to account

Ingolstadt is the place of Frankensteins' monsters birth believed to be around the late 1700s.

Coincidentally this is also the same location and time of the formation of the real illuminati- a secret society that was formed to "battle" superstition and preach truth (in short).

Now who's to say that the thing that sparked the formation of this group was the rumors of a man being brought to life from an amalgamation of dead body parts. In an effort to disprove this, among other things, the illuminati forms and seeks to tear down the name of Frankenstein.

However, Frankenstein has already done this himself. The events of Frankenstein / The Modern Prometheus play out and the creature later finds himself carrying his creator out in to the icy wasteland where he will kill himself.

He finds this to be a difficult thing to do and while it seems possible to die, after a few attempts he finds himself unable to kill himself. He learns that he cannot age, but he also cannot heal. So when a body part gets wounded, he must replace it.

It's the early 1900s, Frankenstein's Monster lives in the woods near Ingolstadt where he had built himself a cabin to live in peace. He lives on scraps and scavenging, having taught himself hunting, sewing, some carpentry, and other skills needed to self-sustain in such an isolated manner.

He occasionally goes to town in the middle of the night if he somehow has found money, dressed in clothes to conceal his scarred and sewn-up face. One night after a trip to a bar, in the cold rain, he is greeted by a strange man at his home. A man who seems to know what he is.

The man reveals himself to be apart of a group of people who are seeking to make major changes to the world in the years to come- to make a world where the Creature can live freely. He tries to recruit his help.

The creature declines insistently, not wanting to euro with humans and not believing he can ever be free. But the stranger asks for a single favor: to see his face. Frankenstein allows this if he may be left alone. The man needed to confirm that the rumors were true. They were indeed.

In the years to come The Great War begins and Germany is at war. Frankenstein receives another visit- a Mr. Charles de Gaulle, a French prisoner of war who had just made a successful escape attempt. He sees the monster, clothed up to barely show his features as it was cold out. He begs him for refuge or some clothing. He expresses that he wants to return to the war so he can fight in it (on the side of the French of course).

The creature tries to turn him away but when German soldiers can be heard in the distance, he attempts to hide him. After failing to do so, both are captured and they attempt to rip the creatures coverings off only to see what he is.

They imprison both of them and The Creature is quickly met by the stranger from years ago who agrees to set him free if he should get his help. The man does not go in to detail about the project but only says it will ensure a German victory. The creature reluctantly agrees, knowing that he may be locked up forever as he cannot die of age.

They go to the University of Ingolstadt, and the stranger is a greeted by a few more strangers. The stranger reveals himself as one of the ancestors to Adam Weishaupt (more heritage research required) and a member of the Illuminati.

They go down in to the basement of the building, one that wasn't there all those years ago, and they reveal their project. Many chambers resembling condensed versions of the technology used in the lab when the Creature awoke. They reveal that they are going to begin making soldiers for the war-effort designed of only the strongest limbs and parts. They will make soldiers that cannot be killed so easily.

The creature loses his cool and the men were prepared for this. Guards block the exit but he proves much stronger than they had anticipated. He plows through anyone in his way and flees in to the woods. The illuminati don't chase him down as his strength they witnessed was even more reason to continue with the project.

The creature flees to the frozen wasteland where Frankenstein is buried, sharing with his grave his understanding now in why he refused to make another of him and why his fear of his own creation led him to behave the way he did.

The creature then sets out to do what he felt his creator would do and goes to destroy these machines and stop these men.

After the events of the story, the creature (who has now named himself William), finds himself too late to destroy one machine. Falling in to his arms is a barely-living, freshly puzzled up woman whom he names Naamah. He brings her to the wilderness where he can finally live out his dream of not being alone.
