So, I'm basically an idiot. Like, I was almost 20 years old before I realized that K-9 was another way to say canine. Yes, I am not a smart (wo)man.
Anyway, I digress.
I am finally reading ROW. In it, Navani thinks about aluminum as a new metal and its strange properties. We almost all know the properties it has as a metal on Scadrial.
So, I'm sitting at work, (I'm a nurse) and an alarm goes off. it's the alarm that tells us someone's trying to steal a baby. Or, perhaps, one of the security guards is checking the system's efficacy. A coworker then grumbles, "I don't know why we even have these damned things on, because if you cover it with aluminum, the sensor won't work.
EXPLOSION. MIND BLOWN.
Just like that time I drove a semi-truck up the NJ turnpike with 50 EZPass transponders in the back and all 50 of those damned things were triggered because they weren't in the aluminum sleeve to block the signal (thankfully, EZPass rescinded the charges).
How have I never known this?!? Has anybody talked about this on this sub and I've just not seen it? Has anybody asked BrandoSando about this before? I MUST KNOW!!!
