Does it get better? I'm having trouble taking the next steps (RoW/Dawnshard Through Chapter 42)

I've gotten through Chapter 42 of ROW and it's honestly been a struggle. I understand try/fail cycles in writing, but this has been 42 Chapters of constant, unending failure. The only bright spots have been the few scenes of world building/Cosmere connections. I feel a bit like Kaladin - it takes me days after listening to get the strength to listen again, and it's always just so depressing. It's just too much failure.

I don't want spoilers, but ... does it get better? This is the first Sanderson book I've ever actually considered not finishing, which is really distressing.
