When Adolin is dueling in the disadvantage duel against four sharbearers at one point Renarin and Kaladin join the fray.

During the battle Kaladin notices the Orange shard bearer that’s “fighting” Renarin and he is waving his sword at the ground for “some reason”.

Is Renarin using Illumination here? It would make sense that he’s weak in it and not fully able to control what the Orange shard bearer sees but is able to somehow manipulate the light to get him to attack the ground instead of him. Also it’s noteworthy that Syl notices something strange about Renarin here and zips over to him.
