This is the second time quitting. The first time I gained 60 pounds in a matter of months - granted I was doing a LOT (probably about 100mg a day for over a year and a lower dose for the past few before that. I also coped by binge eating and didnāt exercise much.
Fast forward 2 years, I lost a lot of the weight, but I relapsed for 6 months and towards the end, was only up to about 50-60 a day.
Iāve been doing everything I can to not gain weight and I havenāt gained as much, but still feel bigger than normal, especially in the stomach area (which isnāt where I typically hold weight).
Why does the body hold on to weight so easily after quitting? Iāve been working out and exercising a lot. Curious to hear otherās experiences.
Edit: Other than a few extra pounds, I feel SO much healthier. My hair is healthier and longer, my skin is glowing, and I look healthy. Iād rather be heavier and healthy than a āskinnier,ā dried out, & tired version of myself.
