I’m about to start my first week of withdrawals tomorrow and I’m wondering what yalls thoughts and experiences have been with the following below. This is just the superfluous type stuff and not including the basics like not using, resting, cutting of script, and walks in the sun. This stuff is from my own experience, various posts here, and the links at the bottom.
Supplements
~Essentials I currently take and will continue:~
- Omega 3 fish oil liquid
- Vitamin D K2 liquid
- Vitamin C liposomal liquid
- Magnesium (as needed)
- L-Theanine (as needed)
- Melatonin 0.25-1mg (as needed, but suspecting it could be making my depression worse the next day…)
~Unsure about, or mentioned here often and from sources below:~
- Vitamin B complex
- L-Tyrosine (wait a few weeks before trying?)
- IronÂ
- Zinc
- NAC (used for crashes a couple times, but **is it helpful or advised during withdrawals?)
**same question for the rest of these:
- ALCAR (Never taken)
- Citicoline (Never taken)
- CoQ10 (Taken a few times)
- Ashwaganda (Taken to ease anxiety before bedtime, but I think it might actually keep me awake…)
- Rhodiola Rosea (Never taken, apparently gives you some energy?)
Caffeine?
Should I abstain completely (especially since I don’t have to work yet)? Otherwise only one cup of coffee (~100mg) in the morning with little to no sugar.
Phone scrolling and video games
Youtube, Reddit, Xbox/Nintendo, Netflix, ***World of Warcraft. Should I avoid any of these? I highly doubt reading books will be a hopeful endeavor this early on lol. Will possibly spend some time on the sub discord too.
***In a post I linked below from 13 years ago about this same topic, it seemed like everyone recommended playing WoW as a great detox activity lmao. Still good advice?
30 Day Reward
Recently saw this from the first link below and thought it could be a simple yet very effective incentive to get through the toughest first month. Anyone else do this? Might have the same thing for 90 day, 180 day, and one year milestones if it’s helpful
