After 4 years of secretly battling my addiction, I checked myself into rehab. Today, I have 4 months and 2 days clean and life has never been better.
I’m back in college (about to apply to nursing school), co-secretary of a Pills Anonymous meeting, and have reconnected with friends and family after isolating myself for years while using.
I still have severe ADHD, but I manage it in other ways. It’s definitely harder without stimulants - but it isn’t as impossible as I thought it would be while I was using.
Never again will I experience the skin picking, the staying up for days on end, the isolation, and so much more. Today, I choose sobriety, my happiness, and my future ❤️
