Hello friends, i hope this post finds you all well and sober. My life circumstances have changed drastically for the better recently and im trying to take full advantage of this opportunity. Im very blessed to be sober and am nearing 45 months clean.

My access to the internet is spotty due to circumstances in my life. Im fine with that. Ive got a lot going on. Trying to make some friends IRL to help accomplish things.

Ive been attending some meetings and have seen just how decimated the recovery community has been since after the pandemic. We are in a rebuilding phase of some form. Im not even sure of the damage and cost inflicted from these substances and this war on drugs. but this decimation occured directly as a result of it. Just the sheer lose of life and destruction of families and households is a impossible task for one individual to envision in their head. Its a truly staggering and mind boggoling cost. Im a learned individual in the ways of these substances and even i know i have no idea of the cost of this whole mess, but, the mess isnt whats important. Cleaning it up is. and thats what this rebuilding thats occuring is about. you wont see it announced on your nightly news. You can feel it in the rooms though. its the life that the rooms feed upon. the change that is wrought in the life of the addict or the alcoholic who seek recovery. Now is a good time to start doing service work.
