Can I leave my weed out of the bag?

Me and my girlfriend often leave bowls pre packed for one another when we come home from work, so often our buster sits open as well, I was wondering if leaving it exposed to air, “dries it out” taking out potency or what have you, I’m sort of a new stoner so this stuff isn’t in my wheelhouse, thanks for your help !
