Bowls keep getting clogged

My wife and I having been smoking for a few years and only this last summer have our bowls started getting clogged with this sticky tar. We thought since we’ve been smoking outside instead out inside that maybe it was just the summer humidity but it’s still happening with the colder weather. We clean them out, as well as our bong, 2 or 3 times a week. Anyone know how to keep it from clogging up?
