“A person who doesn’t know their purpose in life doesn’t know who they are or what the universe is. A person who doesn’t know any one of these things doesn’t know why they are here. So what to make of people who seek or avoid the praise of those who have no knowledge of where or who they are?”

That's a very clever remark!
If one is lost, what's the meaning of asking those lost with him for directions?
If I know I'm lost; I'd be getting busy with sorting my issues and getting on track, instead of caring what other "lost folks" would think of me..
This idea liberated me since a young age, whereas if someone is a failure that the "topic of discussion"; I would not seek his advice. If he is a wiser person with experience and results to prove it, I'd be a keen learner. Thus I listen a lot, openly, from those around me, but care only when the source is "credible".
What do you think of the quote?
