Who are some well known women - past or present - who naturally embody qualities of Stoicism, without necessarily having ever heard of the term? ie from Ancient China or from modern day US. Some of the ones listed by the Daily Stoic online (who were contemporaries of Marcus Aurelius etc) killed themselves, and seem to be thrown in there as add ons just to have something. I'm wondering about women who were not contemporaries, but just naturals.
I think Temple Grandin. She is a livestock welfare advocate, inventor, and often speaks on autism/neurodiversity.

She's dedicated her life to what could be considered a pretty virtuous cause. She's accepted the reality of the livestock industry and has decided to work within the structures that are in place to make meaningful changes. Her autism caused many struggles for her, especially staying in school. She now has her PhD, and has helped the education system be better equipped for students with Autism. Her approach to emotional regulation and staying focused on what you can control and impact is similar to the Stoicism approach.
