Hey Stoics,
I've been following the Stoic meditations for quite some time, trying to be virtuous wherever possible.
Some days/weeks, as we all do, my mind wanders, but lately, I can't help but be a little preoccupied with the effects of Climate Change and consumption levels in the modern world.
I know that these things are beyond my external control - but yet, the anxieties of Climate Change and how, as a global village, we're destroying nature by the minute is of real concern to me.
Its getting in the way of me enjoying my time - and whilst I know that my time is fleeting - of most things as I feel we have an end game at stake here.
Whilst our ancestors dealt with many things- I'm resolved that Human Kind will find a way - but I'm wondering if anyone else out there had some modern Stoic takes on the environment, the climate change and the insatiable desire of our current society to consume every resource in sight?
Thanks in advance
I'm not sure when, but I'm convinced it will be to the detriment
