That’s because they go by hours not miles.. Most outboards have a lifespan of 1,500 hours or 7 to 8 years
Full coverage auto insurance is required by the lender if you have loan.. Many newer vehicles hold their value well these days. A 5-6 year old truck specially a diesel can def be well above 50% of its original purchase price. RVs for example give out 15-20 year loans and they tank in resale value really quick. Not saying I want 10-15 year loans on vehicles but for price tags of 60-80k on many I have no idea how the majority afford them.

Amazed they aren’t that long already considering you can get a boat loan for that long.
