Looking for others experiences with non addictive ADHD medications. I am on vyvanse atm and it's amazing... like incredibly. I can function and I no longer binge eat. I've already lost 15 lbs which is awesome because I'm obese which has been hard on my already disabled body. The problem is, I'm also an addict.

Are there any medications out there that don't have the addictive potential stims do that won't also make me sleepy and gain weight? I feel like I just can't get a break with this shit.

It's gotten to the point where I gave my mom who lives in our basement suite mine and my son's meds so I can't abuse them but still stay on them because they help so fucking much that I'm scared to let them go. I literally could not function before because I was so tired all the time no matter how much I slept, I would still be exhausted. I would fall asleep reading to my kids. But now I've found where she hid them and stole some. It's not fair to her the extra burden on top of all she does and I'm so sick of stressing my loved ones out.

I'm pretty desperate for a solution here. Hearing the meds others have had success with and what the benefits are would be amazing so I can figure my shit out.
