Can switching to XR help/solve an IR compulsive redosing habit?

Post Body

So my relationship with ADHD meds was great until shit hit the fan during quarantine. I started experimenting with higher doses and redosing, and I’m pretty sure I permanently fucked up how my brain processes stims.

Used this stuff for years without abuse issues. Now, if even a little Addy gets in my system, it’s like I turn into a different person. Despite long T breaks and good intentions, I end up popping them like Skittles no matter what size first dose I take. That first dose is great but never feels like “enough.” No matter how much it fucks my life up, I can never stick to the dose I originally set out for myself.

Does XR help with this? Since it doesn’t kick as hard and is pretty steady, I’m hoping it’s less incentive to say YOLO and gobble them up like candy.

(BTW: I’ve taken XR for at least a year before, but that was before I turned into an amp junkie. So not sure if it’ll help at all now).
