I greet thee with much love.
I've had enough meth in my lifetime, and one thing I regret is being stupid enough to neglect harm reduction knowledge that I already possessed while I was using meth. I'm passing on this knowledge in the hopes that some of you will be smarter than my past self while you are using meth.
I have a lot of experience with 50 other drugs, and meth was the only one to lead me to disregard my own harm reduction practices altogether. I implore you with the most fucks I could possibly give, please don't do that - you'll truly regret it once and if you've had enough. Retoasted from my reply on an oldish thread here.
If you truly give a shit about your body, this is my best advice as a retired meth user. Mind you, fire is played with around here. All of this shit will go out the window if you become fully addicted, and you may not even recognize it if it happens.
-Let your doses run their course before re-dosing (good luck). Peripheral effects (increased heart rate, for example) last much longer than the high you are pursuing. They will accumulate per dose while your high will diminish.
-Jerk off quickly, get it over with. Edging on meth is amazing but you will spend 8, 12, 16 hours furiously sweating and not eating or drinking water. You will probably fap every time you do meth, so just get it over with and cum. Dehydration and lack of nutrition don't seem like a big deal at first until they catch up to you the 5th month in.
-Go get a glass of water and chug it. Went down easy when you really put your mind to it, eh? Do it again. Keep your environment littered with full water bottles. Keep re-hydration solutions around if you're cool.
-Eat. Eat a full meal before you start to keep it going. Eat some eggs. Put some salt on those eggs. Eat some bananas. Make a smoothie. Eat some fruit. Fruit goes down very easy. You want sodium and potassium to ensure proper functioning on the heart in addition to your hydration.
-Do not smoke cigarettes. Meth causes significant vasoconstriction in every single blood vessel in your body including the brain, down to capillaries - this is a BIG player in the plethora of meth's detrimental effects on the body. Cigarettes will make this much worse, including compounded cardiovascular risks of consuming them together. If you must have nicotine, get a vape with a good throat kick, like one with nicotine salts. They have the cigarette buzz some seek.
-Consumption of Vitamin D will protect against some of the dopamine and 5HT depleting effects of meth. Vitamin D3 also helps with the body's absorption of calcium, which meth interferes with. The milk jokes here are not a joke. This is srs bsns. Vitamin D supplementation is absolutely cool as well. Vitamin K should be taken in conjunction with vitamin D supplements, which you can get easily frm a multivitamin.
-N-Acetyl L-Cysteine *may* help prevent some neurotoxicity associated with meth in humans. It's a pretty cheap supplement, you can find some reliable third-party tested sources on the Nootropics sub.
-Take a multivitamin. This is not a substitute for a proper meal.
-Melatonin is a very powerful anti-oxidant and is useful for sleep.
-Don't fucking stay up for ages. Yes, this is an all-inclusive part of using meth, and it's very likely it will happen anyway. If meth damages your brain, sleep deprivation will prevent it from being repaired.
-When I went to rehab my red blood cells were larger than normal, which is associated with B-vitamin deficiency. Get them B-vitamins into your body.
-IV will expose the insides of your blood vessels to a highly corrosive drug. You will also put significantly more stress on your body via this method, especially if you are not performing injections correctly. I have a post in my limited post history about some other risks of IV. If you consider yourself a functioning meth addict who isn't IVing, I PROMISE you that IV will bring you to your knees, and bring you deeper into addict behavior (including not giving a FUCK about pre-existing knowledge of harm reduction principles), which is absolutely horrible when using such a risky RoA. Don't try it.
In a nutshell, the most important thing is to NOT deprive your body of things it would ordinarily receive from the sober meth user. Ideally, you would give your body what it needs, and them some. Equally important is to not use meth every single day, and allow your body and brain adequate time to recover.
Check this shit out too. There is lots of good info on supplementation and recovering from meth binges. I highly recommend you look into it. I did none of this shit in the throws of my addiction despite possessing the knowledge, because that is the nature of addiction - and if someone out there is going to be using meth instead of me, I'd hope that they are taking the measures to mitigate the inevitable destruction meth is inflicting on their body.
