Need a dose increase on my adhd meds. How do I make sure to not come off as drug seeking.

I legitimately need a higher dose, but I am afraid of saying something that will make me come off the wrong way. I used to use meth but quit and now take adhd meds responsibly, but my tolerance hasn't lowered so I usually end up double dosing on some days and taking days off. I don't want to be labeled as a drug addict, what should I say to get a higher dose? Is just being honest the answer here? I currently scripted 1 50mg vyvanse with 1 10mg IR adderall per day. Any suggestions on what I should tell him?
