I always notice when I’m taking stims, particularly on a binge, that video games suddenly become completely uninteresting or just can’t find the normal desire to boot up a game to play. I don’t play as much games as i used to in high school but I still often play something a couple times a week when I’m off stims but the moment I take any stims I just don’t care for them anymore or more so i struggle to find the motivation to just simply turn on my console.

I used to think it was because I didn’t wanna feel unproductive but that doesn’t seem to be the true reason. I also find I can’t watch YouTube videos on stims but thats most likely just my short attention span. Some mobile games i can play on stims but it’s still less often than when I’m sober.

Anyone else notice this change from stims?

I’m aware that a lot of people enjoy games even more with stims but i personally just can’t relate. I could be doing something to prompt this like maybe it’s because I only really play single player games but I do think it’s unusual to not want to play my favourite games cause of stims. Im definitely in the minority on this I know.
