It's just so interesting how it works and how drugs, genetics and life experiences influence the way it functions.
Literally shit like time perception, attention, interest, focus and even the perception of what you can achieve could be altered by a molecule.
Ever since I was a kid before trying any drug it was cool, partially because I realized that something was wrong with me (had severe OCD which is basically cured now and ADHD which I only found out at 21 yo).
It's such a complex "machine" that we barely know about and it's so cool. I would really like to study these types of stuff just for the fuck of it but I am not rich so yeah.
It's so fascinating because it's a mix of physical/biological components as well as the experiences we had, which were processed, interpreted and registered through said biological and physical components (mediated by neurotransmitters, hormones, etc); and then those experiences also change the way we react biologically (eg increases in adrenaline from previously learned bad experience) depending on the way we psychologically view and perceive the world, which also is influenced by neurotransmitters and other molecules.
