ADHD and high blood pressure medications, can I take both?

Post Body

I have my yearly check in with my doctor tomorrow. The past 3 years my blood pressure has been in the high 130’s over a normal diastolic.

My doctor said he would prescribe anti-hypertension medication when I am consistently in the high 140’s.

My wife is also a healthcare provider and has been insisting that I get on medication now. I think she has health anxiety? She is concerned about kidney failure and me needing to receive dialysis in my late 40’s and 50’s.

I have avoided getting on blood pressure medication because I feel I would no longer get prescribed my ADHD medication.

Does anyone here take both ADHD medications (or any stims on a regular basis) as well as blood pressure medication? What was the discussion with your doctor like? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I am 28 years old if this adds context
