Paradoxical effect with pseudoephedrine?

Since I'm with a terrible cold yesterday I chugged down a second pseudoephedrine in a day, and I had a strange reaction after a couple hours.
The first one helped me not only breathe better and be way more active than before taking it, as expected. But after the second one I got anxiety and, strangely, horribly drowsy. It was coformulated with cetirizine, which shouldn't cause any drowsiness by itself since it's a second generation antihistamine...
Has this happened to any of y'all?
