Recreational stim pre workout
Post Body

DISCLAIMER: Obviously, yes, stimulants put strain on the heart and combined with exercise, especially high intensity, is a BAD combination.

Interested in your thoughts on stims for different types of exercise: weightlifting, cardio, cardio that also involves reflexes/quick thinking/reaction (ie mtb, dirtbiking, etc).

My thoughts:

Don't really ever take anything pre cardio but I've found micro/low dose LSD to be magic for running, very subtle, but fatigue is non existent.

Coke is horrible for everything, feel noticable strain on heart and breathing is difficult. Amphs seem to be great for weight lifting and mild cardio/endurance (hiking/walking) but research indicates this can be dangerous. Not sure how much so for activities that don't really raise hr. Low dose mdpihp felt same as amphs but just slightly higher dose felt like it was a strain on the heart

DMAA is pretty meh imo, tingly and jittery without providing real benefit.

Modafinil is ok, longer lasting and more subtle, not really practical for lifting.

4fmph pretty meh, prob about same as moda but higher doses make concentrating difficult sometimes. Same I get sometimes with moda that I call "pre-comedown." Like after 4-6 hours there will sometimes be an hour where I feel kinda brain foggy and unfocused and then it comes back for a bit before fading. Not great for activities involving reflexes (mtb, dirt biking, etc).

I've tried a ton of others and of course the normal pre workout stims, but been awhile. Curious your experiences and also what would be the safer option for the different activities
