I see a lot of psychosis posts and stories but I'm not really sure how you can differentiate psychosis with just sleep deprivation effects. . I've had many multi-day benders (never past 72 hours though). I've had some hallucinations toward the end of benders like thinking I see a figure in the corner of my eye or hearing my name being called, but I'm always aware I'm just sleep deprived and my mind is playing tricks on me. Even though I've had hallucinations and some slight paranoid thinking ("what if my roommates know I've been on drugs in my room and are talking shit about me"), I've always thought that since I was aware that the voices or figures were not really there and I just need some sleep that it wasn't psychosis. Am I wrong? How can you tell the difference between psychosis and sleep deprivation?
