Does XR have less chance for abuse than IR?

I don't want to buy off market non-pharmacy addy with all of this fent in my state ( multiple people at my school have died from it ) and to get the same inner calm, not even a buzz/tweak level I have to use 1 more pill every 3 or so days. Vyvanse or XR better for this?
