Note: I can't edit my title, but I meant that they used to be sold in pharmacies without a prescription.
Would there be a reduction in abuse/misuse or a rise? Apparently, it took a long time for them to figure out that amphetamine can be addictive. But, so can alcohol and it's horrible for your body. Amphetamine can be used for medicinal purposes, including ADHD, depression, and as a decongestant. Coke can be used as a local anesthetic and in surgery.
I have no idea what would happen. I can imagine that there would be abuse, at least at the start, but, like alcohol, when something is made legal it can lose its seductive appeal of abuse. Nowadays, it seems the younger generations are losing interest in alcohol compared to former generations. But maybe this is because they're taking Adderall 🤣
