I appreciate you taking the time to read my post. I’m just going to put it all out there…

I am prescribed 90 20mg Adderall Instant Release each month from my doctor here in California. That’s supposed to be 60mg a day. In reality, I take about 180mg a day. Anything less than that keeps me unable to do regular tasks that everyone does, everyday. I can’t go to work effectively, I’m not happy, I’m depressed and overthinking, etc etc. When I take 180 mg of Adderall each day I am the happiest, the most productive, and genuinely look forward to everything that comes in the day. When I’m not taking that much, I am unhappy, unfocused and I don’t take care of myself or anyone else.

I guess the real question is: Can I get prescribed 180mg of Adderall daily under ANY circumstances whatsoever?

Are there any exceptions to the rule of a “maximum prescribed amount” that the doctors and government have legislated?

If “no”… why would the law limit something that I’ve tested and tried as the only option for me to be happy and successful?

Since I can’t get the 180mg a day legally, I’ve had to go through other options of obtaining the medication just to sustain this. Not only is it expensive but it’s feeling quite illegal and I don’t feel like I should have to do anything illegal.

I want to go through a real doctor and be honest and get the amount I need.

Please give me guidance and feedback if this is possible for me to achieve this.

Quick overview of me: I sleep every night at least eight hours, normally even nine. I work about 50 hours a week and I’m a husband and a father of two. I eat a small breakfast and small lunch and a large dinner everyday. I still drink caffeine each morning. I’m also prescribed Effexor & Vraylar for depression and Xanax for anxiety. I’ve battled severe depression for years. I’m somewhat active and am considered average weight and height. I say this to add context.

Overview of post: I just truly feel like I’m really at my optimum at this amount of the medication and want to know if it’s possible to actually get it, somehow, someway, through a doctor.
