How long does it take for adderall tolerance to return to baseline?

I’ve been taking 40mg instead of 20mg for the past month (IR). It’s obviously eating into my script in double the time. It’s gotten to the point where I won’t feel anything noticeable until 30 mg.

I don’t take any during the weekends, but the tolerance remains the same— even though I take 0 pills Saturday and Sunday.

I’d like to get back to having 20mg do the trick that 40 does. How many days of complete abstinence does it take for adderall tolerance to essentially reset back to 0?
