I want to start a new setup with Q Acoustics 3010i Denon DRA-800H, but would like to get adivce.
Would this combination be safe to combine? Looking at the Denon spec, the output power is 8 Ohm, 100 Watt. The Q Acoustics tell me:
- Nominal Impedance: 6 Ω
- Minimum Impedance: 4 Ω
- Sensitivity (2.83 Vrms@1 m): 86 dB
- Stereo Amplifier Power: 15 - 75w
- AV Receiver (2 ch. driven): 50 - 125 W
Does this mean the amp is too powerful for the speakers? Is there a better combination I could buy instead? I really don't need the extra size/volume provided by the 3020i model, but should I be looking at them? I also previously looked at the Denon PMA-600NE, but I like having DAB and a network reciever in the same package with the DRA-800H.
Edit to add: budget. The DRA is already a bit beyond what I expected to spend. This combination takes me to about £650, which is about the top for me on this project.
