I've got a set of older Klipsch RB-81s that have been retired from home theater duty, and I'd like to use them with my computers.
Can y'all recommend a dac/amp that would suit this use case? I don't need the world's most insanely perfect audio quality, but I'm not trying to get the bargain bin option. I'm honestly not sure what my budget should be here - I'm more looking for the price:value sweet spot.
I'm new to the world of dedicated amps (previously ran AV receivers for HT and just ran cheap computer speakers since I was mostly using my desktop for work), but I suspect the RB-81s might fall into a weird category of needing something fairly beefy (for a PC setup) since they're definitely on the larger end of "bookshelf" speakers.
- I need a USB-in since I use a USB switch to swap between my desktop and my laptop when it's docked.
- Would be great if the unit supported mic input and had a mute/unmute button for the mic
- Would also be nice to have a headphone jack if I want to drive a pair of headphones instead
