I'd like to make a race similar to the Borg. I haven't decided if I'm going Synthetic Ascension or Psionic. My idea is that the race believes themselves to be THE superior race after the thousands of years it took them to climb to the top of the food chain. Now that they have reached the stars they want to spread their seed to every corner of the galaxy but they are not above seeking to enhance themselves by incorporating superior traits from others species they find along the way.

So what I'm asking you all for is ideas on traits, government, civics, ethics and origin that would define this race. Also any other ideas you come up with I'd love to hear them. If I remember correctly I think there is a mod that does something with splicing species together. Does anyone know the name of that mod?
