Diagnosing a crash

Hey all,

I've been running into an issue where Stellaris will repeatedly crash at the same date. Currently I am in the endgame with a moderately large and majorly successful empire, with tons of pops and tech and resources. The Contingency has spawned and I just got the event where Synths infiltrate your planets. I'm guessing something is erroring out when that event tries to continue to run. I'm running a nearly unmodded setup except for UI overhauls, but even disabling them hasn't helped. The crash log reads:

Application: Stellaris
Version: 7.2.*
Date/Time: 2020-07-22 08:29:11

Unhandled exception C0000005 (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) at address 0x000000014038D586

I've tried fiddling with fullscreen settings, put "-opengl" in startup as another thread I googled suggested, and verifying integrity of game files on Steam.

I don't suppose anyone has any other ideas?

SOLVED: Thank you /u/DrAutissimo, the issue was losing control of a Megastructure that was building my ships.
