Okay, so I started a game as Fanatical Purifiers. I figured I wouldn't do Armageddon bombardment so I could get the unity bonus from purging pops. Well I won my first war, then checked the planets to see how long the purge would take.

It's going to take over 20 years?! Am I missing something that increases the speed of purging pops? At this rate the unity isn't worth it, I would have rather killed them all from orbit. As it is right now I'm stuck with these useless planets that my species can't inhabit for over 20 years while these guys die off.
