Steam vr keeps disconnecting my oculus rift s

So I have a question I just got the oculus rift s today and when I tried to play half life alyx, a couple of minutes into the game my headset disconnect from the steam vr app and I'm not sure if I did something wrong. Like I downloaded the oculus app then I downloaded steam vr and it does pick up my headset and controllers but a couple of minutes into the game my head just automatically disconnects. Not sure what to do , any suggestions?
