Trying to Dual-Boot Windows on Steam Deck and Getting Stuck

Post Body

Hi all! For various reasons, I have decided that even a wonky Windows install on Steam deck is better than no install. So I am attempting to do that using this video which was recommended to me:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYWNZGiBsUo

I followed all the instructions as near as I can tell. But on the first step actually involving the Deck itself, booting off the SteamOS thumb drive to enter the desktop environment and create the partition, it never actually goes to the desktop environment. I get to the boot menu, choose the USB drive, and then wait at the logo for a varying amount of time.

It eventually goes to a black screen with a cursor in portrait mode and then eventually a black screen with a cursor in landscape mode, but it essentially just stops there. I've waited around half an hour to proceed from that point, but nothing changes.

Any tips or help? I'd really like to get this done and neither Google nor YouTube has any specific answers for me here. Thank you in advance, I really appreciate it.
