Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, a "Deck Verified" that never should have been verified in its current state

Post Body

I recently bought this on Steam because the whole franchise was on sale, saw that Sands of Time was Deck Verified and figured that I should be able to play without any tweaking.

First of all, what is Deck Verified? According to Steam Deck's official website:

"The game should support the default resolution of Steam Deck (1280x800 or 1280x720), have good default settings, and text should be legible"

This is not the case, the game does not go above 1024x768, no widescreen support either.

"The title should have full controller support, use appropriate controller input icons, and automatically bring up the on-screen keyboard when needed. "

Not only is there no default, official controller layout, I've also had to use a community layout to get the controls going - the game does not recognize the gamepad itself at all.

"The title shouldn’t display any compatibility warnings, and if there’s a launcher it should be navigable with a controller."

When the game launches, (presumably because I force closed the game), it asks me if it should be launched in safe mode, which you need the touchscreen to get past.

From the game's official Steam Store page, the Deck compatibility information states that the game shows Deck controller icons. Absolutely not the case - like I said, can't even get the controller working and I have to emulate kb/m controls.

How did this ever get officially Deck Verified?
