Maybe I haven't researched this the right way, but I can't find anything about it. I'm wondering how Valve even gets the refurbished units in the first place.
From what I can gather off of the refurbished site they're returned customer units that may have minor cosmetic defects.
My 512 doesn't even have that since it's had a screen protector and thumbstick covers nearly the entire time I've had it.
My situation is I'm considering purchasing the OLED 1TB and reselling my current 512GB Standard Steam Deck. I was wondering if there are any reputable programs where you can trade the standard unit towards the OLED, etc. to discount the cost of the OLED unit. I don't want to end up messing with someplace like Gamestop if I don't have to.
