Can I force games to save onto the SD card? BG3 Specifically.

I'm all out of space on my internal drive but the SD card [where the game is installed] has lots of space. I don't know why so many games insist on saving and pacing mods onto to the internal storage.
Is there an easy solution? I'm a Linux noob...
