Help. So I got a steam deck and it has Windows 11 on it.

Got the steam deck. Thought it was supposed to have windows on it so I didn’t think nothing of it. Never had played with one or was interested in one. But never the less, from the stuff I’ve see. It should have Steam OS on it. Can I just use the browser to get on steam or download it? Or does it need to be flashed and reinstall steam os on it somehow. Can it run windows and steam os? What should I do or need to do? Just need some help and pointed in the right direction. If you have questions feel free to ask. Thanks in advance.
