Hello everyone,

Recently, the Steam Deck's desktop mode has been crazy slow. It'll load up the basic desktop and task bar, but no icons on the desktop. It'll also load a miniature version of the taskbar beneath the larger task bar. This miniature task bar goes away when you click the larger taskbar. However, trying to click anything else on the taskbar does nothing, no programs will load for 10-20 minutes.

It works for a while then, but if the unit ever goes to sleep, it will be broken when it wakes up. The desktop background will be plain black, and only the programs already opened will function. The only way to get any other program to run is to reset the Deck, at which time it will do the whole hanging on startup thing.

I am wondering if it is related to me having to constantly add new basic default panels in response to the ones I was using disappearing whenever the unit would go to sleep.

It could also have something to do with the new Sabrent USB extension I added to the Steam Deck, but I tried starting without it and it did the same thing.
