How do i use Virtual Menus in Desktop Mode?

I tried last year to no success, and now to no success. Considering how important they are to a decent experience, please, ANYONE, help! :(
This is NOT a no effort post. I have put in like 20 hours trying to get this to work. There is 0 youtube videos covering it, and almost no written topics. The ones that say they got it working give little details how.
