Desktop Mode unresponsive after Steam Rom Manager freeze.

So Steam Rom Manager locked up when I told it to remove all the rom non-Steam shortcuts except to leave Emulation Station. It locked up for more than an hour, so I held the power button down until it shut off. When I booted Desktop Mode back up again, nothing was responsive. Icons cannot be clicked and the start menu can't be brought up.
Do I seriously have to reset to factory mode to fix this? Please no. That would really suck big time.
