Is there any way to control the Virtual Keyboard cursors with joysticks?

I'm using an XBOX controller on desktop and with the new steam update the steam deck ui was brought to pc. Now I can't use my controller joysticks to control the two cursors on the new keyboard.
I was wondering if there was a way to change this, and I figured this sub would be the only real place to ask.
