FarCry 5 Controller issue

I was able to get FarCry 5 to load, and even get into my save game from PC, however it does not seem to be working with the controls at all. The touch screen works in navigating the menus but beyond that, no button on the deck works with the game in any capacity, even the track pads do not move the mouse cursor around. I have disabled the Ubisoft overlay, thinking that might cause an issue but that did not do the trick. I can’t find a solution scouring google. Any ideas?
