As we all probably know, the Steam Holiday Sale cards have been available since last night, as seen by a popular thread from yesterday. I commented on it and /u/ACulturedBaboon brought up the fact that there are 9 cards in the set. He also brought up the fact... that there were 9 nominations available for the Steam Awards last month.
I want to add to this. First, take a look at this. This are the mystery cards for the Holiday Sale set.
Now look at the designs of the cards. What are those? Spotlights. As in an awards show.
I thought that these were pretty good speculations. Any other ideas?
