I just finished watching the show and I'm thinking back on all the little snippets of connections and storylines that were slowly unveiled throughout the series. One that I'm confused on is Kristen's (and Alex's) timeline after K loses Jeevan and embarks on her own, essentially there are two scenes that confuse me:

1 - The scene where K first meets Sarah (this is presumably how she joins the Traveling Symphony). It looks like be at least several months after she loses Jeevan -- she looks older, dirtier, her hair is messy... and she definitely has a sense of toughness that she was not displaying when she first left the cabin.

2 - The scene where Kristen has "the baby" (Alex) and loses her in the big room that is maybe at the country club? Gill is there and I can't tell if she knows Gill or if this is where she first meets him. However, in this scene Kristen looks "tidy" (for lack of a better word) again, and IIRC is wearing that same dress. Do we know how she got ahold of Alex? Where is this room?

Mainly what I'm wondering is ~ why does it seem like Kristen went back in time in the scene when she lost Alex, like she had just left the cabin or something, but then the "tougher" older-seeming Kristen is just meeting Sarah and does not yet have Alex?

I hope my questions are making sense.
