first of all, the first part of this episode is so funny when they roll up to pingtree the scene about where the landmines are is hilarious. it gets serious a little later when they are performing hamlet set in Poland/Portland, the dialogue between Kirsten and Alex is descriptive of the greater situation alex says “we all bow to you. You’re wonderful. I love you, Ophelia. Can’t you see that? No , you can’t. You’re fake!”

Kirsten says “my love is real you’re just inside of it. My entire family lived and died before we met”

and that you can apply to Kirsten with the symphony in general the pregnant woman etc. Kirsten represents like a Gen X type of person and Alex is a Gen Z
