Observation on the current rewatch of severn city airport

There’s a group scene where it appears to be some kind of 12 step, maybe AA type of meeting and a woman reads this passage:

“when your people go out to battle their enemy, by whatever way you send them, and they pray to the Lord thou are in heaven, their prayer and their pleading and they maintain their cause. when they sin against you, for there is no person who does not sin, and you are angry with them and turn them over to the enemy. If they repent and implore your favor saying we have sinned and done wrong. we have acted wickedly. If they return to you with all their heart and all their soul in the land of their enemies Who have taken them captive, then hear their prayer and their pleading in heaven which is your dwelling place”

This reminds me of Tyler’s arc, he leaves under such brutal events and then returns with vengeance in mind and leaves again in the best case scenario
