Hey guys, been doing starting strength for a little while now, and I love it. I'm becoming obsessed. I lift Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but I have a lot of extra free time because I work from home. All I can think about is getting back in the gym, and I hate weekends because I just think about Monday morning. Is there anything else I can be doing to supplement my lifting on my off days? I know recovery is important, but only lifting three days has me feeling a little lazy. I'm eating 3500 calls a day at least, I'm a male age 23, weight 220, here's my lift progress:
Bench: 120>175 Squat: 175>250 ( I had to reset because I was good morning'ing the shit out of these for awhile and my lower back blew up while my legs stayed weak) Ohp: 80>125 Deadlift: 185>335 (heavier weight started to feel light as hell, and I believe it's because of my previous squat form.)
I've been running the program for about a month. I ran it before about a year ago, but I broke my scaphoid in unrelated activities and it kept me away from weights for awhile. I lost my copy of the book in a move and have another on the way. Like I said, I know recovery is important for a beginner, but some days I just feel really explosive, like I need to lift.
