The most important thing in a business is the moat. If a business can't be monopolized it's not worth building. For me it was the realization that having distribution is very important. Today you can build anything but having a plan to stay ahead of everyone is what will help you stand away from others. If you are building something you should how you will sell it before building. Many believe this notion that if your product is good enough it will sell itself. No, that's not right.Building anything today is easy. Selling it is harder.
